General Directions
- The nearest major intersection is the intersection of Mojave Drive and Seventh Street. (Seventh Street is Business Route 15 and Historic US Route 66.)
- From I-15, exit at Mojave Drive. Drive east on Mojave (towards La Paz Drive, away from the Valero station), about 3/4 mile. At the fork in the road, bear left onto Sixth Street. Drive about a block northeast to the corner of Sixth and Tracy.
Traffic Info
Southern California traffic can get nasty, but with some pre-planning you'll usually be ok.
In the Victor Valley, listen to Y-102, 106.5 The Fox, Kat Country 100.7, or Talk 960 during rush hour for traffic updates. If you spot something that isn't being reported yet, call 888.500.5003 and report it.
Talk 960 doesn't have a live Internet feed, but you can see traffic conditions using a link off their website. The other three stations all have live Internet feeds.
In Los Angeles, the area's most comprehensive traffic reports are provided by KNX 1070 NewsRadio, with reports on the 5's. Normally KNX covers Los Angeles and Orange counties but will also report on traffic conditions in the Inland Empire (San Bernardino and Riverside counties) when such reports are warranted. To report traffic conditions in Los Angeles, call KNX's Traffic Tip Line at 323.467.1070. Leave a message and let them know which freeway you're on, which city you're in, and which lanes are blocked. Remember, the #1 Lane is the one closest to the center, and the numbers get higher as you move towards the right shoulder.
In the Mojave Desert north of Victorville, Barstow-based Highway Radio provides traffic reports for travelers to Laughlin and Las Vegas. FM 98 and 99, the Highway Stations - KRXV 98.1 Barstow, KHWY 98.9 Essex, and KHYZ 99.7 Baker - do traffic at the top of every hour, and then again at 30 minutes past.
Highway Radio's other stations - The Drive (KHDR 96.9 Barstow, KHRQ 94.9 Baker, and KHWZ 100.1 Ludlow) and Highway Country (KIXW 107.3 Barstow, KIXF 101.5 Ludlow) do traffic once an hour.
